JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested on drug and warrant charges March 10, 2026.
James L. Lindsay III, 50, of Jamestown, was taken into custody at approximately 7:31 p.m. in the area of Forest Avenue.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department were on patrol when they observed Lindsay walking in the area.
Police were aware that Lindsay had active warrants from the City of Jamestown and Warren, Pennsylvania.
Officers recovered a small quantity of crack cocaine from Lindsay’s person during the arrest.
Lindsay was transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Fugitive from Justice, in addition to his Jamestown City warrant.
Lindsay will be held pending arraignment and extradition.
