PORTER, NY — A 59-year-old man died after being seriously injured while cutting a tree on March 9, 2026.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call at approximately 3:24 p.m. reporting the injured man.
Deputies and EMS personnel arrived at the scene and began rendering aid to the victim.
The man succumbed to his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to the family.
