GREECE, NY — Officers recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a driver following a License Plate Reader alert on March 1, 2026.
At approximately 1:35 p.m., officers utilizing License Plate Reader technology received an alert for a stolen vehicle in the area of Dewey Avenue and Stone Road.
The vehicle, a 2008 Toyota Solara, had been reported stolen from the City of Rochester.
Officers located the vehicle in the area of 550 Stone Road and stopped it near Dewey Avenue and Stone Road.
The driver and sole occupant was taken into custody without incident.
The operator was identified as Cartiey Martin, 37, of Rochester.
Martin was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 3rd degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle in the 3rd degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree and multiple uniform traffic tickets.
Investigation revealed Martin had an outstanding warrant from the Rochester Police Department, which was lodged.
Martin was transported to the Monroe County Jail for CAP Court arraignment.
