Man arrested on domestic charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to a residence on the south side of the city for a reported domestic incident on Feb. 14, 2026, at approximately 2:06 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim outside the residence.

Following an investigation, it was determined that the male suspect, Brandon L. Calkins, 39, of Jamestown, had been involved in a verbal dispute with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation.

During the incident, Calkins spit in the victim’s face and shoved her, causing their three-year-old child to become upset and run from the room.

Calkins was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He was charged with harassment in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was held pending arraignment.
