PENN HILLS, PA — A fugitive wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after jumping out a window and attempting to flee from sheriff’s detectives.
Curtis Davis, 26, of Knoxville, was taken into custody without incident a short distance from a residence on Barckhoff Street.
Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus said Davis had been a fugitive since Dec. 1 when a bench warrant was issued for violation of probation on a case involving a guilty plea to drug and firearm charges.
Davis also has multiple active warrants out of the City of Pittsburgh involving several counts including burglary, firearms charges and assault.
Detectives developed information that Davis was inside the Penn Hills residence.
When detectives arrived at the residence in their vehicles, Davis jumped out of a first-floor window and began running before detectives surrounded him.
Davis then dropped to the ground and was arrested.
He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
In April 2024, Davis led detectives on a lengthy pursuit that ended in a two-vehicle crash in Mt. Lebanon when they attempted to arrest him on multiple warrants.
