NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested Feb. 11, 2026, after allegedly attempting to meet a juvenile for sexual activity.
Moussa Kouyate, 37, of New Haven, was identified by North Haven Police detectives as seeking to meet a juvenile with the intent of traveling to a separate location to engage in sexual activity, according to police.
Detectives, in coordination with FBI Task Force Officers, intercepted Kouyate upon his arrival at a designated location and took him into custody.
Kouyate was transported to the North Haven Police Department, where he was formally charged with Enticing a Minor, Risk of Injury to a Child, and Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault in the Second Degree.
The North Haven Police Department urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant regarding their children’s online activity.
Parents are encouraged to maintain open and ongoing conversations with their children about internet safety, monitor online interactions and educate them about the dangers of communicating with unknown individuals, police said.
