WHEATFIELD, NY — Multiple fire companies responded to a garage fire on Shawnee Road on Feb. 7, 2026.
The Niagara County Communications Center received multiple 911 calls at approximately 4:02 p.m. reporting a fire at 6780 Shawnee Road.
Niagara County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on scene and confirmed a detached garage was fully involved in fire.
Fire personnel from multiple companies successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to the nearby residential structure on the same property.
The residence sustained damage to its exterior siding.
The garage collapsed as a result of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
