FALL RIVER, MA — Massachusetts State Police executed search warrants at multiple locations Monday as part of an investigation into an alleged drug trafficking operation.

The Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team’s South unit initiated the investigation earlier this year into a suspected operation distributing fentanyl and cocaine in several south coast communities.

On Feb. 3, investigators executed search warrants at two residences in Fall River, one residence in New Bedford, five vehicles and one landscaping trailer.

Police seized seven firearms, including six handguns and one rifle, four high-capacity magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Investigators also seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine, six kilograms of fentanyl and approximately $100,000 in cash.

Daryl Fennell, of Fall River, and Lincoln Green, of New Bedford, were taken into custody following the search warrant execution.

Both suspects will face numerous drug and firearms charges.
