Man arrested on drug charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A 62-year-old man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Prather Avenue on Jan. 29, 2026.

Officers conducted the traffic stop at approximately 11:14 a.m. after becoming aware that the operator, Danny Keith, was driving without a valid driver’s license, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

During the stop, officers located approximately 8.2 grams of fentanyl and items commonly associated with the sale of illegal narcotics.

Keith was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident, where he was held pending arraignment.
