JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested following a domestic incident on the city’s East Side on Jan. 31, 2026.
Officers assigned to the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to an East Side address at approximately 4 p.m. for a reported domestic incident.
Investigation revealed that the suspect, Brittany A. Smith, had assaulted the victim, causing physical injury.
Officers also determined there was a current order of protection against Smith protecting the victim.
Smith physically resisted after officers advised her she was under arrest but was taken into custody.
She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she is held pending arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
Smith is charged with aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault and resisting arrest.
