POCONO TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was arrested on a driving under the influence charge after a motor vehicle accident in Pocono Township on December 22 at approximately 10:24 p.m.
Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to the area of 2789 Route 611 for a reported crash.
Police identified the driver as Richard Custred Sr., 62, of Pennsylvania.
Officers reported that Custred showed signs of impairment at the scene.
Following an investigation, officers determined that Custred had operated the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, resulting in the accident.
Custred was taken into custody and transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
