The department’s Impact Unit led the investigation, with assistance from the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Special Criminal Investigation Unit.
On Jan. 28, investigators executed a search warrant at a Hancock Street residence.
Michael Melton, 49, of Everett was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants related to the break-ins, issued by the Malden District Court.

During the search, police found and seized tools and articles of clothing they believe were used in the break-ins.
On Jan. 29, members of the Impact Unit arrested another suspect, Michael Hoban, 36, of Everett, also believed to be involved in the residential break-ins.
Hoban was taken into custody on seven arrest warrants issued by the Malden District Court.
Investigators are still seeking a third suspect, identified as Christian Campagna, 22, who is homeless.
