JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers conducted a warrant check at a residence on the city’s west side around 3 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2026.
Police made contact with Lisa Gaiser, who had several outstanding arrest warrants through the Jamestown Police Department.
Officers spoke with Gaiser through her door and window and informed her she was under arrest.
Gaiser refused to cooperate with officers’ commands and would not open the door.
Officers then made entry into the apartment and discovered the door had been barricaded with a couch.
Officers were able to push through the door despite the obstruction.
Once inside, Gaiser was again told she was under arrest and retreated toward a back bedroom in the apartment.
Officers quickly apprehended Gaiser, who then began to pull away from officers.
A brief struggle ensued before officers placed Gaiser in custody.
Gaiser was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.
She is additionally charged with resisting arrest and is being held pending arraignment.
