Man arrested on protection order violation charge in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after police say he violated an order of protection on the city’s West Side.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a West Side address for an order of protection violation at around 3 p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Jamie Moore and the victim.

Police discovered that Moore had been messaging and calling the victim.

Officers had knowledge of a valid stay away order of protection.

Moore was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident pending arraignment.

Moore will be charged with criminal contempt in the second degree.
