CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY — A man turned himself in to authorities on a felony charge related to alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.

Kyle Higley, 35, of Olean, surrendered to investigators at the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation in November into alleged sexual offenses in southern Chautauqua County.

Investigators allege Higley repeatedly provided a minor victim with financial compensation in return for explicit images via digital device.

Higley also allegedly attempted to meet the minor victim several times to engage in sexual acts after being informed the victim was in fact a minor.

Higley was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony.

He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Higley will answer for his charges in Chautauqua County Supreme Court.
