Two-vehicle crash under investigation in Georgia

GEORGIA, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Ethan Allen Highway near Interstate 89 Exit 18.

The crash happened at approximately 5:29 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Police said a white SUV pulled in front of a 2019 GMC Terrain in an attempt to turn north onto Ethan Allen Highway.

The operator of the white SUV left the scene and has not been identified.

The white SUV is described as having driver’s side damage toward the rear of the vehicle.

The operator of the GMC Terrain was identified as Kelly Forbes, 36, of Georgia.

Forbes was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The GMC Terrain sustained front-end damage.

Weather conditions were clear at the time of the crash, but roads were snow covered.
