JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a man on multiple charges following a domestic dispute early Thursday morning.
Officers were dispatched to a residence on the city’s west side at about 2 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute in progress involving multiple subjects.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Xavier L. Williams, 25, of Jamestown, had committed multiple offenses at the residence.
Police said Williams violated an order of protection by unlawfully imprisoning an individual and fighting with another individual, which endangered the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person who was also in the residence.
Further investigation revealed that Williams was driving while intoxicated prior to the domestic incident when he crashed a vehicle into a pole in the city, police said.
Williams was taken into custody and became extremely uncooperative, according to police.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he is awaiting arraignment.
Williams is charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, unlawful imprisonment, harassment, criminal contempt, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving while intoxicated.
