SAUGERTIES, NY — A man was arrested following a dispute on Rivka Road on Jan. 4.
Daniel C. Backhaus, 29, of Saugerties, was taken into custody at approximately 7:15 p.m. by the Saugerties Police Department.
Backhaus was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, assault in the third degree and unlawful imprisonment, all misdemeanors.
He was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and released on his own recognizance.
Backhaus is scheduled to appear in Saugerties Town Justice Court at a later date.
