ORANGE, CT — A Norwalk man has been arrested following an investigation into the sexual assault of a minor that occurred in November.

Josue Granados, 42, of Norwalk, was arrested Tuesday by Orange Police detectives.

The investigation began after a 17-year-old female reported she was inappropriately touched and solicited for sex by Granados after he saw her struggling to open her locked apartment in West Haven.

Granados, who was unknown to the victim, offered to drive her to Home Depot in Orange to get a tool to help open the door.

While en route, he allegedly stopped in another parking lot and made unwanted sexual advances and exposed himself even after the victim said she was underage.

The victim escaped from Granados’ vehicle upon arrival at Home Depot and sought help.

Detective Tony Colon identified the suspect and secured an arrest warrant charging Granados with commercial sexual abuse of a minor, sexual assault in the fourth degree, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Detectives from Orange and Norwalk police arrested him Tuesday morning without incident at a Norwalk workplace.

He was held on $250,000 bond until his arraignment Wednesday in Superior Court in Derby.
