BINGHAMTON, NY — A Kirkwood woman faces drug and impaired driving charges following a traffic stop on Court Street.
Breeanna Beatrice Baker, 31, of Kirkwood, was arrested at approximately 9:20 p.m. Sunday and charged with driving while impaired by drugs and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, all misdemeanors.
New York State Police at Gateway observed a vehicle speeding on Court Street and initiated a traffic stop.
During the interview with Baker, a trooper observed characteristics associated with impairment.
Baker was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which confirmed impairment.
Troopers also located controlled substances in Baker’s possession.
Baker was transported to State Police Binghamton where she was processed and issued appearance tickets.
She is scheduled to appear in Binghamton City Court on Jan. 30, 2026.
