Two-vehicle crash on Memorial Drive in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Memorial Drive near Center Tower on January 7, 2026.

Troopers were notified of the crash at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Investigation revealed that Connor Cassidy, 21, of St. Johnsbury, pulled out of the Center Tower parking lot and failed to yield to Roxanne Truhart, 64, of Concord, who was traveling north on Memorial Drive.

The two vehicles collided as a result.

Cassidy was operating a 2005 Honda Civic and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Truhart was operating a 2017 Toyota 4-Runner and was wearing a seat belt.

After the collision, Cassidy fled the scene.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Neither operator was injured, and no one was transported to a hospital.

Roads were snow covered and it was snowing at the time of the crash.

Investigation concluded that Cassidy was the operator at the time of the crash.

Cassidy was later located and issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.
