STARKEY, NY — A Penn Yan man was arrested on a criminal contempt charge following a domestic incident on New Year’s Eve.
Christopher R. Castle, 32, of Penn Yan, was taken into custody at 10:39 p.m. Tuesday in the Village of Dundee.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident and found Castle in violation of an active stay away order of protection.
Castle was transported to the Yates County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.
Deputy Lane responded to the scene, assisted by New York State Police.
