PORT DICKINSON, NY — A tractor-trailer overturned early Tuesday on Interstate 88 West at the Interstate 81 connector bridge.
The Port Dickinson Fire Department was dispatched at 2:07 a.m. along with Station 55 and Rescue 39.
Initial reports indicated unknown injuries and that the trailer was hanging off the bridge.
The driver was able to self-extricate from the vehicle.
The driver was transported to a medical facility for evaluation.
The trailer was determined to be empty.
Station 66 was requested to close down the eastbound side of the bridge.
The Port Dickinson Fire Department responded with all three of its apparatus.
