GREECE, NY — Police arrested six people after an automated license plate reader detected a stolen vehicle on Dec. 21.
Officers responded to the alert at approximately 3:34 p.m. for a blue 2021 Hyundai Tucson near West Ridge Road and Fetzner Road.
The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Brighton the previous night.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained six occupants.
Five juveniles from Rochester were arrested, including one 17-year-old and four 16-year-olds.
Terrance Marble, 18, of Rochester, was also arrested.
All six were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree.
The five juveniles were issued appearance tickets and released to their parents or guardians after consultation with on-call probation.
Marble was transported to the county jail for arraignment.
