FALL RIVER, MA — A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene Sunday evening.
Police responded to the 200 block of Stafford Road for a reported motor vehicle versus pedestrian collision involving life-threatening injuries.
The victim, a 34-year-old male, was riding a bicycle on Stafford Road when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
After the initial impact, the victim was thrown into a second vehicle.
The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to an area trauma center, where he later died.
Accident Reconstruction investigators responded to the scene, along with the Major Case Division, to investigate the incident.
The investigation remains active.
