GREECE, NY — Police arrested five people during coordinated holiday weekend operations targeting shoplifting and trespassing at retail locations throughout the town.
The Greece Police Department partnered with retail stores to increase loss-prevention staffing and conduct high-visibility patrols at locations on Mt. Read Boulevard, Dewey Avenue and West Ridge Road.
Jose Agosto Santiago, 42, of Rochester, was charged with third-degree burglary and resisting arrest after allegedly concealing $213.16 in Home Depot merchandise and fleeing.
Police said Santiago failed to comply with officers’ commands and was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
He had previously been trespassed from the same Home Depot location.
Due to a prior felony conviction, Santiago was transported to CAP Court for arraignment.
Natrice Lane, 41, of Rochester, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass after allegedly entering the mall despite a lifetime ban.
She was released on an appearance ticket.
Delmar Daniels, 46, of Rochester, faces a third-degree criminal trespass charge after allegedly entering the mall despite a lifetime ban issued on March 20, 2024.
He was released on an appearance ticket.
Keveral Young, 62, of Rochester, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and obstructing governmental administration after allegedly entering the mall and obstructing officers during the investigation.
He was released on an appearance ticket.
A 15-year-old Rochester girl was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon after allegedly concealing $14.99 cologne.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located a loaded 9mm ghost gun in her jacket, police said.
She was arraigned in Family Court and remanded to Rush Detention.
Police said the operations involved coordination between Greece Police officers, retail loss-prevention personnel and Wilmorite Security officers.
