Broome County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple arrests

BINGHAMTON, NY — The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has reported nine arrests on various charges in recent law enforcement activity.

Ashley N. Brewer, 35, of Endicott, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a traffic stop in the Town of Union.

Travis J. Cornell, 44, was charged with criminal contempt in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into an order of protection violation in the Town of Union.

Denis A. Dean, 54, of Endicott, was charged with attempted rape in the 2nd degree, a class E felony, and four counts of attempted disseminating indecent material to minors in the 1st degree, class E felonies, following a sex offense investigation in the Village of Endicott.

Kevin L. Gunn, 56, of Endwell, was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the Town of Union.

Christopher A. Lane, 23, of Endicott, was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Union.

Starr-Lyte T. Reid, 33, of Whitney Point, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

John T. Short, 56, of the Town of Triangle, was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree, class A misdemeanors, following a warrant execution in the Town of Triangle.

John F. Y. Tablisma, 24, of Binghamton, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08, both misdemeanors, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

Joseph G. Young, 50, of Binghamton, was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree, class A misdemeanors, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.
