CROMWELL, CT — Police are investigating a series of rim and tire thefts targeting specific vehicle models in the Cromwell Hills and Woodland Drive area.
The targeted vehicles are Hondas, Acuras and Infinitis.
On Nov. 14, officers responded to reports involving two vehicles that were found resting on blocks with all four rims and tires removed.
A second incident occurred on Nov. 25, when two additional vehicles were targeted in the same manner.
All incidents occurred during the overnight hours.
In each case, suspects removed the rims and tires quickly and efficiently, suggesting the use of specialized tools.
No injuries were reported, and there is currently no suspect description available.
The Cromwell Police Department urges residents in the Cromwell Hills and Woodland Drive area to review home security or doorbell camera footage from the nights of Nov. 13-14 and Nov. 24-25.
Video evidence may assist in identifying the individuals or vehicles involved.
