FALL RIVER, MA — A Woonsocket man was arrested Tuesday night after police observed him allegedly dumping construction debris in a wooded area.
Kyle Correia, 30, was spotted moving between his pickup truck and nearby woods on Wilson Road near the Causeway at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Officer Brum from the Fall River Police Department’s Environmental Unit was on patrol in the area, which is known for previous dumping violations, when he observed the suspicious activity.
Correia attempted to leave the scene quickly in his truck but was located on Pond Hill Drive.
Officers found construction debris in Correia’s truck bed that matched debris at a nearby dumping site.
Correia was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, failure to stop, trespass with a motor vehicle and illegal dumping.
