Man arrested on grand larceny charge in Northumberland

NORTHUMBERLAND, NY — A Gansevoort man was arrested Saturday on a felony grand larceny charge following an investigation into a theft at a local business.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a larceny complaint at 3:23 p.m. on May 10 on Leonard Street.

Joshua E. Allen Jr., 20, of Gansevoort, is accused of stealing items including scrap metal valued at more than $1,000 from a business at the Leonard Street address.

Allen was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Northumberland Town Court.
