Woman arrested on DUI charge in Bristol

BRISTOL, VT — A New Haven woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after her vehicle was found parked in the middle of a roadway on Oct. 18.

Troopers with Vermont State Police Williston/New Haven were notified at approximately 12:28 p.m. of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of Upper Notch Road and Lafrance Road.

It was reported that the occupants of the vehicle may be intoxicated.

Responding troopers located the vehicle and identified the operator as Hailey A. Lowell, 32, of New Haven.

Lowell exhibited multiple indicators of impairment and after a roadside investigation was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Troopers also learned that Lowell’s license to operate a motor vehicle in Vermont was criminally suspended.

Lowell was transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

She was released into the custody of a sober adult with a criminal citation to appear before Addison County Superior Court at a later date to answer to charges of DUI first offense refusal and criminal driving with a suspended license.
