Man arrested on child exploitation charges in Cromwell

CROMWELL, CT — A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to child exploitation following a joint investigation by local and federal authorities.

Jose Nunez, of Cromwell, was taken into custody by members of the Cromwell Police Department’s Detective Bureau on an arrest warrant.

The arrest came after an investigation conducted by Detective Perricone and members of the Department of Homeland Security.

Nunez was charged with one count of employing a minor in an obscene performance and one count of risk of injury to a minor.

Bond was set at $200,000 cash or surety.

Nunez was arraigned and turned over to federal custody.
