HARTLAND — Vermont State Police responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 91 southbound at mile marker 62 at approximately 8:02 p.m. Sept. 28.
The operator was identified as Samuel Goodwin, 42, of Hartland.
Police said Goodwin was driving a Chevrolet S-10 when the vehicle departed the roadway and crashed into the tree line.
During the investigation, Goodwin displayed signs of impairment, according to police.
A controlled substance was found on Goodwin’s person, police said.
Goodwin was treated for injuries and issued citations for DUI drug and possession of a controlled substance.
