WILTON — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trademark counterfeiting complaint at 3:58 p.m. Friday at the Casual Girl store in the Wilton Mall.
An investigation led to the arrest of Steven M. Solimanto, 75, of Lake George.
Solimanto was charged with trademark counterfeiting in the second degree, a class E felony.
He is accused of knowingly offering for sale counterfeit LABUBU plush toys with the intent to deceive or defraud another person.
The allegedly counterfeit toys had a value in excess of $1,000.
Solimanto was released on an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Wilton Town Court at a later date.
