COLEBROOK — A Stratford man was arrested on Main Street on Aug. 27 after a Colebrook police officer pulled him over for failing to use a turn signal.

Police said the traffic stop occurred at 5:59 p.m., when the officer conducted the motor vehicle stop and identified the driver as Matthew Heaney, 30, of Stratford.

During the stop, the officer learned that Heaney’s driving privileges in New Hampshire were suspended and his out-of-state license had expired more than two years ago.

Police also discovered that Heaney had an active arrest warrant out of the Concord District Court.

Heaney was arrested and transported to the Colebrook Police Department, where he was booked.

Authorities said Heaney was released on bail pending arraignment.
