PROVINCETOWN — The Provincetown Police Department located the body of an adult male in marshes near Provincetown Airport after receiving a missing person report on Aug. 22.
The department conducted an extensive search with public safety partners before discovering the body.
The Massachusetts State Police have taken jurisdiction of the investigation.
Their preliminary investigation has not identified anything suspicious.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until positive identification and notifications can be made.
