STEWARTSTOWN — A Canaan man was arrested on multiple warrants Tuesday morning after a Colebrook police officer spotted him during a traffic stop.
Michael Jordan, 21, was taken into custody at 11 a.m. on Route 3, according to the Colebrook Police Department.
Jordan was charged with arrest on two warrants and resisting arrest.
Police said an officer observed Jordan in the passenger seat of a vehicle while on patrol and initiated a motor vehicle stop.
Jordan was arrested on multiple warrants, including an in-house Colebrook Police Department warrant for resisting arrest from an incident on April 21.
Police said Jordan fled officers during the April incident before jumping into the Connecticut River to swim to Vermont while being pursued.
Jordan was brought to the police department and refused bail.
He was transported to the Coos County jail to await arraignment.
