MALDEN — Following an investigation into an alleged armed robbery, the Malden Criminal Investigation Division executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in Malden on Aug. 15.

The operation, led by Det. David Yung and Det. Salvatore Gennetti with assistance from the Special Operations Unit, resulted in the arrest of a juvenile suspect and the recovery of stolen property.

As part of a follow-up investigation later that morning, officers responded to a second residence in Malden, where a second juvenile believed to be involved in the incident was taken into custody.

At this location, investigators recovered additional stolen property and a firearm.

The Massachusetts State Police, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force Boston, ATF K9, and Melrose Police Department K9 assisted in the operation.

Both juveniles were arrested and are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Because this case involves juveniles, no additional details will be released.
