Saratoga county sheriff arrests woman on DWI, drug, evidence tampering charges after Wilton traffic stop

SARATOGA COUNTY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman following a vehicle stop for no tail lamps Tuesday at 12:23 a.m. on state Route 50 in the town of Wilton.

Deputies identified the driver as Erin M. Clark, 50, who is listed as homeless.

Clark was charged with tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony.

She also faces misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.

Authorities allege Clark was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition and recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.15%.

She is also accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing methamphetamine and concealing or destroying physical evidence she believed would be used in an official proceeding.

Clark was additionally ticketed for failing to display two lighted lamps on the rear of her vehicle.

She was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to return to Wilton Town Court for further proceedings.
