Colchester police seek dark Hyundai after hit-and-run injures 2 juveniles on bicycles

COLCHESTER — Officers with the Colchester Police Department responded to the area of 500 Heineberg Drive at approximately 11:55 p.m. July 9 for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicycle.

Responding officers located two injured juveniles who reported they had been struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene.

The juveniles were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for further evaluation.

Initial investigation identifies a dark grey 2011-2016 model Hyundai Elantra as a vehicle of interest.

Officers were assisted on scene by members of the Colchester Fire Department, Colchester Rescue, and Essex Police Department.
