Norton police investigate theft, vandalism at barbecue restaurant

NORTON — The Norton Police Department is investigating a theft and vandalism incident at a local barbecue restaurant that occurred early Monday morning.

Freedom Fire BBQ on Old Colony Road reported that a male suspect entered the property at approximately 3 a.m. July 7.

The suspect unplugged cooking equipment and stole a security camera used to monitor the setup, along with an extension cord supplying power to the equipment.

The business owner was forced to discard food intended for sale due to safety concerns.

Security camera footage was provided to police.

Officer Cross is investigating the incident.
