Man seriously injured after self-inflicted gunshot wound in Guilford

GUILFORD — A 62-year-old man was shot in Guilford on Sunday.

The incident took place at an apartment complex on Guilford Center Road at around 8:55 p.m.

The man, a resident of Brattleboro, suffered an intentional self-inflicted gunshot wound while sitting in a truck outside the apartment complex.

He was airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Police say as of Monday morning, the man was continuing to receive treatment at the hospital in Massachusetts.
