Man arrested on criminal contempt charge in Yorkshire

YORKSHIRE, NY — A man was arrested following an investigation into an incident in the Town of Yorkshire.

Robert P. Wallens III was taken into custody at 2:21 p.m. July 1, 2026, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest followed an investigation led by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Wallens was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, sexual misconduct and harassment in the second degree.

He was arraigned at Yorkshire Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Wallens is being held without bail pending further court proceedings.
