CAVENDISH, VT — A 42-year-old man was arrested following an assault on Depot Street on July 1, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks responded to an active assault at 7:11 p.m.
Through investigation, troopers determined Baris Dincer, 42, of Cavendish, had physically assaulted two men.
The victims were identified as Robert Messier, 33, of Cavendish, and David Stanek, 68, of Cavendish.
Dincer was issued court-ordered conditions before being released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Windsor Criminal Division on July 2, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
Dincer faces charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
