FAIRFIELD, VT — A 63-year-old man was arrested on a DUI charge following a motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 36.
On May 28, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to a crash on Vermont Route 36.
Michael Marshia, of East Fairfield, was identified as the operator of a 2017 Toyota Camry.
Marshia was transported to Northwestern Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.
After further investigation, it was determined that Marshia had been operating the motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Marshia was subsequently arrested and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on July 14, 2026, at 8 a.m.
Road conditions were clear at the time of the crash.
The vehicle sustained front-end damage.
Marshia was wearing a seat belt.
