COBLESKILL, NY — State Police, in partnership with the Schoharie County Probation Department, arrested Theodore R. Alberts, 22, of Cobleskill on June 16, 2026.
Alberts was charged with two counts of rape in the third degree, a class E felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
On June 15, 2026, troopers received information reporting sexual contact between an adult man and a child.
The investigation determined Alberts allegedly had repeated sexual contact with a child under the age of 17 in Cobleskill.
Alberts reportedly met the victim online via social media operating under the alias of “Kay Wright.”
Alberts was arrested and processed at State Police Cobleskill.
He was then arraigned at the Cobleskill Town Court, where he was remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility without bail.
