EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — A woman wanted on a retail theft charge from 2023 turned herself in to police Monday morning.

Roberta K. Holden, 44, of Pennsylvania, surrendered at the Stroud Area Regional Police Department at 9 a.m. June 22, 2026.

She was arraigned at Magisterial District Judge Wolbert’s office and released on unsecured bail.

The charge stems from an incident on Jan. 21, 2023, at 5:47 p.m., when Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Walmart at 355 Lincoln Avenue for a report of retail theft.

Loss prevention staff detained Holden in the store’s loss prevention office.

Loss prevention observed Holden under-ringing items at the self-checkout and leaving the store without paying for $305.61 worth of merchandise.

A check of her criminal history showed she had one prior retail theft conviction.

Holden is charged with one count of retail theft.
