NORTHUMBERLAND, NY — A man was arrested early Sunday following a domestic incident that left a victim with an eye injury.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active domestic incident call at 12:13 a.m. on Cramer Path.
Adam A. Santiago, 40, of Northumberland, was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony, and assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Santiago is accused of recklessly causing physical injury to the victim by flicking a pen at them, resulting in an eye injury and an order of protection violation.
He was arraigned before the Honorable James S. Evans in Northumberland Town Court and released to pretrial services.
The victim was transported by private vehicle to a local urgent care.
