Structure fire under investigation in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The Windsor Locks Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at a residence on Saturday at approximately 4:37 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a well-involved occupied single-family dwelling on Volunteer Drive.

Initial investigation indicates that the occupants were alerted to the fire by working smoke alarms and were able to safely evacuate the residence prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.

No injuries have been reported.

Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Warehouse Point Fire Department and the Bradley International Airport Fire Department.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Windsor Locks Fire Marshal’s Office.
