Public lewdness charges filed in Nichols

NICHOLS, NY — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Corey Carle, 49, of Binghamton on June 1 on a charge of public lewdness, a misdemeanor, following an investigation into a complaint in the Town of Nichols on May 23.

Investigators found that Carle committed a lewd act with another person at a pool area in full view of witnesses, according to the sheriff’s office.

Carle was processed at the Tioga County Jail and released with an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in Town of Nichols Court on July 8 before Justice Grinage.

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office also arrested Crista Furgeson, 45, of Binghamton on June 1 on a charge of public lewdness, a misdemeanor, in connection with the same investigation.

Investigators found that Furgeson committed a lewd act with another person at the pool area in full view of witnesses, according to the sheriff’s office.

Furgeson was processed at the Tioga County Jail and released with an appearance ticket ordering her to appear in Town of Nichols Court on July 8 before Justice Grinage.

In a separate case, the sheriff’s office arrested Frederick R. Hillman III, 42, of Nichols on June 4 on a charge of second-degree harassment following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Hillman was arraigned in CAP Court and released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Nichols Court on June 17.
